About Gerry

Gerry le Roux has been working as a professional photographer for the past 9 years. Originally qualified in the sciences, Gerry changed to a career in photography in 2005. When he is not in some laboratory photographing scientists at work, he enjoys doing street photography or working on fine arts projects. He also has a particular passion for sharing his photographic knowledge with others, and has worked as a photographic tutor and lecturer at a number of institutions.

Gerry prefers working in a photojournalistic style, preferring spontaneity and creativity to formal, posed images, and spend most of his time, camera in hand, in pursuit of what the great Henri Cartier-Bresson termed “the decisive moment”.
