Description
Our Advanced Photography Workshop is the perfect follow on from the Intermediate Workshop. It has been designed for students who have a good knowledge of taking photographs in the manual settings but are now interested in "making" rather than "taking" a photograph. Our experienced and talented tutor will unlock your potential, giving you the tools to create original and exciting photographs.
The day incorporates theory with practical examples, impromptu tasks and demonstrations as we go to a number of locations around the Viaduct and City areas of Auckland. The main task of the day is to produce imagery that would be suitable for a website or leaflet on tourism in Auckland. This theme allows to to pull together your talent as a photographer as well as thinking as a professional photographer on an assignment.
There is a great emphasis on the elements of composition, balancing light and dark, finding colour as well as what lenses to use to get the shots you are looking for. Working with our tutor you will discover how to make the ordinary quite extraordinary.
During this time you will be encouraged to make decisions on the composition, develop an understanding of white balance. With the knowledge of more advanced settings on your camera you will learn how to use those settings to help you pull out the colours on a dull day, how to understand tonal ranges so that you take take good black and white photographs leave knowing how to achieve dramatic imagery.
Our workshops also have the luxury of several Canon cameras and lenses for you to borrow Free of Charge, so if you are looking to "Try before you Buy" upgrading your equipment or just wish to see what another lens could do for your photography this is the perfect opportunity. Plus we also have some great camera equipment discounts to pass onto our students.
