Description

How often have you stood in front of an incredible landscape, taken the shot — and later wondered why the photo didn’t quite capture what it felt like to be there?

This immersive Workshop is designed to bridge that gap.

Set on one of the West Coast’s most spectacular beaches, this workshop places you right in the heart of raw New Zealand beauty. Think rugged black sand, powerful rolling waves, dramatic skies, and a nearby gannet colony — an ever-changing natural environment that’s impossible not to be inspired by.

Throughout the day, you’ll be guided through the essential techniques that transform landscapes from ordinary to unforgettable. We’ll cover how to:

  • Read and work with natural light

  • Build strong, balanced compositions

  • Choose the right settings and equipment

  • Identify what truly makes a location photograph well

By the end of the day, you’ll see landscapes differently, and your photography will reflect it.

To make the experience even better, we offer a selection of camera bodies and lenses you can borrow during the workshop. Whether you’re considering an upgrade or simply curious about how a different lens might change your results, you’re encouraged to experiment. Just let us know when you book if you’d like to borrow gear.

With a maximum of 4 students with our tutor, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one guidance from our experienced tutor, ensuring personalised feedback and support throughout the day.

During this time we also cover
  1. Lenses - What lenses to use
  2. Camera settings
  3. Composition
  4. Use of flash
  5. Filters

What is Clickapix
Clickapix is a basic guide for photographers who have a DSLR camera or Compact Digital with manual settings. It has been designed for easy access to technical information when you are out and about.
It will recommend the ISO, the Aperture and the shutter speeds that would be suitable for the subject you are taking.

Who is it for
Created for anyone who would like a reminder about optimum camera settings at the click of a button
One of the most common questions we are asked by our students is
"What setting do I put my camera on to take a picture like that?"

How does it work
Choose the type of picture you are want to take.
Scroll through the different styles of photograph:
Portraiture, Scenery, Sports, Nature, Night and Flash
Choose the examples that match your requirements. Clickapix then gives you a range of settings based on the lens, the lighting conditions and what it is you are wanting to photograph

Quick and Easy
Remember it is only a guide, there are very many variables but it will get you on the right track. Photography is about capturing moments in time creatively, making images that make people smile. However technical expertise is needed too and this might just solve your problems

So how do I purchase
If you have an iPhone or iPad just go to the iPhone App Store BUY NOW
